Day one of the NCAA Basketball Tournament was no disappointment. Some of the games, which many thought were gimmies, turned into upsets, possibly messing up a few brackets. It's what college basketball fans wait all season for, and it's actually pretty hard to avoid basketball right now.

The countdown to the madness is over.

"[I'm] Huge, huge, into March Madness," said Jesse Green as he watched the games Thursday afternoon.

The perennial hardwood classic is a passion for many. A little less so for some, but for anyone who bleeds basketball, catching the action is an absolute priority.

"I drove in from New Mexico to actually come down here to watch the games here," Green said at the Overtime Sports Bar and Grill.

Green lived in Colorado Springs and returns to watch the tournament at the Overtime. He said he'll likely make two more trips back as the tournament narrows to the finals.

If fans are not watching at home or at a sports bar, many will watch at work, where experts say the continuous basketball coverage costs millions in lost productivity during the first week of the tournament.

Concentrating on work and a game can be a true test to the multi-tasker.

"When the phone rings, the TV goes on mute and we do our jobs," said Doug Heddings from his office computer.

Again this year, CBS Sports has upgraded its March Madness on Demand site. It streams the games live on the internet and offers a little at work cover. Clicking the "Boss Button" switches the game to a mock spread sheet, which looks like it could be a project in progress.

CBS Sports reports the "Boss Button" was clicked more than 2.5 million times during the 2009 tournament.

In the meantime, the developing tournament "bracketology" is also a work in progress.

"I got K-State!" said Matt Brady.

"I picked Kentucky to go all the way," Green said.

No matter how it shakes out, all eyes are on the madness.
