Abortion opponents in Colorado are hoping to make a second deadline to get enough signatures to ask voters this fall to ban abortion.

Personhood USA has a Thursday deadline to get enough valid signatures for a measure on the ballot this fall giving rights to fetuses. The measure would lead to a ban on all abortions.

The group needs some 46,000 signatures from state voters to get the question on ballots this fall. An earlier attempt failed because too many signatures were invalid, but organizers got a second chance.

Coloradans considered a similar amendment in 2008 and soundly rejected it. State officials say it could be more than a week before they determine if the abortion opponents have enough valid signatures to revive the question.

Of course they got a second chance! These group of people are no different than the Islamic extremist who always get second chances too.

"Personhood" would make removing a doomed tubal pregnancy illegal. This defies common sense. The pregnancy can't survive and the mother's life is in danger! Removing it would be considered "murder" if this "Personhood Measure" passes. Abortion opponents are going way too far with this one.
