Overnight a disturbance passes through parts of S Colorado... this will bring a push of moisture falling as rain in the Plains with a few late night/early morning showers possible in Pueblo. For the Palmer Divide, N & W El Paso Co. and Teller Co. it will fall as snow... bringing a few additional inches of accumulation in mainly between 1am and 6am, lingering into the mid morning. El Paso County health officials have confirmed their first human case of West Nile virus this season.
Officials say a 29 year old man became ill with West Nile related meningitis on July fifth. The man was hospitalized and is said to be recovering.
Last year, there were 116 reported human West Nile virus cases
in El Paso County. Nearly 3,000 were confirmed statewide. Fifty four people died as a result.
So far this year, 18 human cases are confirmed across the state.
