This week, you'll find a 2010 Census survey in your mailbox. The Census questionnaire has a total of 10 questions, and none of those
questions should ask you for bank account info, a credit card number, or your social security number.

Keep in mind that the Census will never contact you by e-mail. Also, don't ever click on a link or open any attachments in an e-mail that is supposedly from the U.S. Census Bureau.

If people don't mail back their forms, Census takers will visit homes. If a u-s census worker knocks on your door, they will have: a badge and a confidentiality notice.

Ask to see their identification and their badge before answering their questions.

If someone shows up at your door and either asks you for money to pay the 2010 Census, or if they ask you for your social security number, don't give it out.

The Census worker who comes to your door will only ask you the same questions that are on the survey.

You are required to answer Question #1 ONLY!!!!!!! If you wish to participate ONLY answer Question #1. If you get a visit from some census worker explain to him/her the the Constituion requires you to answer ONLY Question #1 and politely tell them to leave or be arrested.

Comment on Census: I am American Indian and Spanish. I found it very insulting the way the census broke down Asian and Hispanics, I have to wonder why are they asking for a country of origin for only these two races (brown and yellow) . There are whites that can be broken down to Russian, Irish, Italian, German, etc and there blacks that are Haitian, Ethiopian, Arab, Puerto Rican, Brazilian, Ugandan etc and they didn't even ask bout Indi and Arab origins. In Hispanics they added Chicano. Chicano is not a nationality just like Creole or Appalachian, or Bo John. I don't know why they broke it out this way. A census is just suppose to be a count of the people. The way it is written you would think Black and White are Native Americans. They Are Not. This Census is an insult to American Hispanics and Asians.
