Overnight a disturbance passes through parts of S Colorado... this will bring a push of moisture falling as rain in the Plains with a few late night/early morning showers possible in Pueblo. For the Palmer Divide, N & W El Paso Co. and Teller Co. it will fall as snow... bringing a few additional inches of accumulation in mainly between 1am and 6am, lingering into the mid morning. Three additional human cases of West Nile were reported this week across the state, including one in Pueblo County where officials just last week confirmed the presence of infected mosquitoes.
The latest cases would bring the human total to 14.
They were reported in a 49-year-old woman in Pueblo County, an elderly man in La Junta in Otero County and a 37-year-old Parker woman in Douglas County.
Since the virus was first detected in Colorado in August 2002, the state has recorded more than 3,700 human cases and 76 deaths.
Symptoms include fever, headache and neck stiffness. In more serious cases, blindness, paralysis's and inflammation of the brain have been reported.
