The FBI is now looking for a Leadville woman who may be involved with Islamic radicals. Jamie Paulin-Ramirez was held for questioning this weekend by police in Ireland, in connection to a plot to kill a Swedish artist who made fun of the Prophet Muhammad. She has since been released.

Investigators think Paulin-Ramirez may have terrorist ties, which her family says began on the Internet. A terror expert in southern Colorado, Joe Ruffini, says the Internet is key for extremist recruitment. He says this whole situation with Paulin-Ramirez is a prime example that potential terrorists are taking on a whole new profile.

According to Paulin-Ramirez’s family she became connected with the self-proclaimed "Jihad Jane," better known as Colleen LaRose, a housewife from Pennsylvania who is charged in the same plot.

"It really doesn't matter whether you're from a big town or a small town, the jihadists have excellent web sites, they use the latest technology and they recruit globally," said Joe Ruffini.

"We're at the point now where we shouldn't be profiling people by their ethnicity or by the color of their skin,” said Ruffini. “We should be profiling people by their activities."

Christine Mott, Paulin-Ramirez's mother says her daughter spent most of her time on the Internet visiting Islamic web sites and chat rooms. Mott says her daughter started wearing traditional Muslim clothes and discussing jihad. "I never thought she would be caught up in this kind of plot," said Mott.

There are allegations Paulin-Ramirez could also have had ties with Najibullah Zazi, the Aurora man who pleaded guilty to several terrorist charges in a plot to attack New York City on September 11, 2009.

Joe Ruffini also says it’s important to keep an eye on suspicious activity. And if there is hard evidence that someone may be involved with terrorism, they should be reported to authorities.

Paulin-Ramirez disappeared from her Leadville home on September 11 last year. Her family hasn't heard from her since being released from custody in Ireland.

If it doesn't affect your ability to get to Wal-Mart then it's must not be true. There are bad people in the world who are more than willing to recruit other people to further their bad intentions.

Let me guess.....time to crack down on the internet? Blonde, female terrorists! Well, no proof at this point but it never stopped the scare tactics before. You'd think that with all the existing safeguards in place we wouldn't have so many "possible" terrorists making the news. And people believe this stuff.
