Power Restored In Area of Fillmore and I-25
There were some major traffic intersections without lights, including the intersection of Fillmore and Interstate 25. Those lights have been restored as of 2 p.m. Monday.

The power has been restored in the area of Buchanan, Cascade and Fillmore in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Utilities say they had to replace a utility pole that lit on fire on Buchanan Monday. Approximately 422 customers, including some businesses were without power.

There were some major traffic intersections without lights, including the intersection of Fillmore and Interstate 25. Those lights have been restored as of 2 p.m. Monday. Drivers rightly treated the intersection as a four-way stop while power was out.

What, do we have a sudden rash on spontaneously combusting power poles, didn't this happen last week on 1-25....things that make you go hmmmmm.

Thankfully the power came back on a few minutes before 1 this afternoon. Traffic appears to be back to normal now.
