Colorado Springs police are concerned about a possible rise in fraudulent prescriptions after a doctor's office was burglarized Monday morning.

Cops don't know exactly when the crooks broke into the medical complex, but it was some time over the weekend when the building was closed. They got in through the front door of the building on Printers Parkway in the Springs. While there's an alarm system, apparently, the front door hadn't been locking properly for some time.

“I’ve been here almost 10 years and there's never been a problem,” says Dr. Sheldon Ravin. Monday morning, his staff arrived at the office to find that the front door had been pried open.

“They took a bunch of sample medications from Viagra to muscle relaxants. They took a copy of my nurse practitioner's and my DEA number. They also got my medical licenses. They took prescription pads specifically for narcotics. They were smart enough to know the difference. They left alone pads that are for blood pressure and diabetes," says Dr. Ravin. They also stole the signature stamps from the office.

“They apparently had plenty of time to go through everything. In fact, I have some tools here, and they used tools to open the locked cabinets."

Police notified all the local pharmacies about what happened. Dr. Ravin had to notify his patients that their prescriptions could be delayed because the pharmacist will have to confirm that they're legit.

No other offices were broken into at this medical complex. Now, police want to find who did this.

If you know anything about the robberies, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

LeDuh - before you get in a tissy, KKTV changes their stories often. They edit them continuously as they put them up. The first copy rarely makes any sense. Someone comments. KKTV changes it. Then people like you assume KKTV had what you see up there are along.

Everyone, Jared does this on every story. He somehow finds SOMETHING that is not even present in the story and complains about it. He just simply has no life and just wants to cause trouble. Ignore his comments. They are not worth responding to :o)

This story doesn't even mention robbery. Not sure what you are talking about.
