The mother of a Leadville woman says her daughter's extremist views came out of left field. 31-year-old Jamie Paulin-Ramirez has reportedly been released from police custody in Ireland. She was being held for allegedly having terrorist ties.

Paulin-Ramirez disappeared from her home in Leadville on September 11. She left town to marry a Muslim man she met on the Internet. Her family says before she left Colorado last fall, she had announced she converted to Islam and told her family they'd go to hell if they didn't follow in her steps.

"I'm scared, I'm scared for her," said Christine Mott, Paulin-Ramirez’s mother. Mott is relieved her daughter has been released from Irish police custody, without charge. But Mott is still worried her daughter is still mixed up with radicals.

Mott also fears for her grandson, she says when Paulin-Ramirez converted to Islam, she renamed her son and was teaching him to hate Christians. "I don't know who she is anymore," said Mott.

Paulin-Ramirez was arrested Tuesday, along with six others, over an alleged plot to assassinate Swedish artist Lars Vilks.

Police have released few details about the alleged plot to kill the artist, whose sketch depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a dog, has infuriated many Muslims.

Al-Qaida in Iraq has offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who kills Vilks.

Mott says her daughter has been married four times, and while she searched to find meaning in her life her quest led her to the Internet, and perhaps radical Islam.

Playing an even bigger role in the alleged murder plot, American Colleen LaRose, known as “Jihad Jane”, has been accused of plotting with others to kill the cartoonist. Irish police say LaRose visited Ireland last year and met with Paulin-Ramirez and her Algerian born husband.
