A third postal carrier from Pueblo has admitted stealing gift cards and cash from the mail.

Gerardo Robertson pleaded guilty this week in Denver. Robertson came under suspicion of embezzling from the mail last August when a postal service inspector put $20 in an envelope Robertson was to deliver. Robertson took the money.

Under questioning Robertson admitted opening at least 14 other pieces of mail and taking gift cards and cash. A plea sentence with federal authorities calls for Robertson to receive probation.

Robertson is the third former employee of the Pueblo Main Post Office to plead guilty in recent months to admit stealing from the mail.

Wow probation ! You know he stole more. Let anyone else go into a mailbox and steal and see what would happen to them. I agree with you (cos)

I thought stealing from the post office was a Federal crime. It seems to me they deserve Federal time, not probation.
