Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
The Colorado Wildlife Defense is asking for a ban on all new elk game farms and wants to make it illegal to shoot elk or deer inside pens.
The coalition fears the movement of apparently healthy but infected elk within the elk industry will plant the seeds of new outbreaks in parts of the state where the disease doesn't already exist.
Chronic wasting disease is a fatal brain malady that causes infected animals to grow thin and die as it eats holes in their brains.
The Colorado Wildlife Defense will look for support for its proposal in the Legislature's Sportsmens Caucus, which meets next month.
