Hayman Fire Rehabilitation

That's according to the leader of the U.S. Forest Service's rehabilitation team for the 138,000-acre Hayman fire.

Ken Kanaan says the figure is a projection of just how much it would cost on a long-term basis to rebuild roadways burned by the fire and destroyed by subsequent flooding. Some roads will have to be resurfaced or moved. And campgrounds in the area will need major
improvements.

The Hayman fire was started June eighth. Former Forest Service worker Terry Lynn Barton is accused of intentionally setting the blaze. She has denied the charges.
