Hirings in professional services in the state are fueling a second consecutive month of job growth. This, as the unemployment rate dips below 5 percent.
The jobless rate stands at 4.9 percent as of May. That's compared to 6.2 percent in May of last year.
The state is beating the nation in job growth, which has a 5.6 percent unemployment rate.
The labor department says the work force typically grows during the spring as the tourism industry focuses on summer activities.
