Continuing to track rain/snow showers throughout southeast Colorado this morning as wet, gloomy and cool conditions continue. If you are hitting the roads in the higher elevation (Teller/Fremont/Custer/ Monument) make sure you allow a little extra time as some roads may be a little snow covered. Wet pavement remains everywhere else. We'll see rain/snow showers continue for most of our Monday, clearing out before midnight. Head on over to the "Weather" tab for a full look at the week ahead.
A District 11 school board member has withdrawn a proposed resolution which sparked a family values controversy.
Boardmember Willie Breazell proposed a resolution that would have the school district promote only "stable, hetrosexual two parent families".
The resolution was placed on Wednesday's agenda before Breazell asked it to be tabled until further notice. Breazell reserved the right to bring it back at anytime.
The Pikes Peak Gay & Lesbian Center says the proposal was insulting not only to homosexuals but also to all single parents
