Road Closed

Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park has temporarily closed because of bad weather.

The road, part of U.S. Highway 34, reopened for the spring and summer on May 20. It had been closed for the winter season since last November.

Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in the country, climbing to 12,183 feet.

There's no word on when authorities expect to reopen the road.
