Heavy snowfall in southwest Colorado has caused the roof of another building to collapse.

A large portion of the roof on an empty lumber store in Durango collapsed Friday while owner Chuck Bodine was clearing snow off the top. He wasn't injured.

No one was hurt a day earlier when the roof of a Durango ballroom collapsed. People are busy trying to clear snow from rooftops after more than 30 inches fell the last week.

Mountain passes in the area have been closed off and on because of avalanche danger.

More snow is expected over the next several days. Forecasters say southwest Colorado likely will see above-average moisture because of El Nino, a periodic ocean warming in the Pacific that affects the climate.
