A statue of the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., has a new home in Pueblo.

For 25 years, this likeness of the civil rights leader stood in Denver's city park, but when Denver commissioned a new statue, this one was given to Pueblo's King Holiday Commission and Cultural Center.

This artwork depicts Doctor King... with a young boy who was murdered in Alabama back in 1955.

Many say the death helped to spark the Civil Rights Movement. The Statue now stands outside the Pueblo Museum.
