Locally heavy rain and snow will impact Southern Colorado through Friday afternoon and early evening. Heaviest snow will favor the mountains, Teller County, and El Paso County. This will lead to difficult travel conditions by Friday morning. Heavy snow will also occur in the higher terrain to the southwest of Pueblo. The storm will wind down later Friday evening. Federal Aviation Administration investigators are looking into a plane crash that killed one man Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 7:25 a.m. at the Pueblo Memorial Airport. Officials say the pilot was performing "touch and go" maneuvers. He had left the runway and was gaining altitude when the plane suddenly slammed into the ground.
The pilot's name, age, or hometown is not being released Saturday.
