Warm weather in March proved to be a mixed blessing for Colorado ski resorts.
The higher temperatures are being blamed for cutting skier numbers by nearly three-and-a-half percent this season, but destination resorts did well.
Colorado Ski Country USA says it's the first time in seven years the number of big-spending destination skiers hasn't declined.
Colorado has been fighting with Utah and British Columbia for the all-important market.
Ski County president Rob Perlman said destination resorts including Aspen and Vail recorded slightly higher skier visits last season.
Colorado is the nation's number one ski state. Its resorts account for more than 20 percent of annual skier days.
