Denver International Airport officials Thursday reported 3.73 million passengers used the airport in April, a 33.2 percent increase from the same month last year.
Through April, 13.6 million people have traveled through the airport , a 19.4 percent increase from the same period last year.
Airport officials say most airlines saw an increase in passengers, with the largest numbers posted by United Airlines and Frontier Airlines.
The increase is welcomed by officials, but they also warn that a cutback in the number of federal security screeners could mean longer lines this summer.
