Granby residents and town officials say damage done by a man who went on a rampage in a bulldozer could be in the millions.
On Friday night, Marvin Heemeyer destroyed 8 buildings and damaged 5 more with his armored bulldozer..
He was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday morning.
Costs for the town hall and library alone could exceed $1 million, not counting costs to retrieve documents and records.
The owner of the hardware store where Heemeyer got his bulldozer stuck says his business is a total loss and his 5 employees are now out of a job. He estimates it will cost $450 thousand to rebuild. State funding could help cover the costs.
Town residents say they just feel lucky nobody was hurt or killed.
