The results are in from the state Republican convention.
U.S. Senate candidate and former Congressman Bob Schaffer has a sizeable lead over his opponent Peter Coors. Schaffer ran away with 6% of the votes while Coors nabbed 39%.
The two candidates have reached an agreement placing both their names on the primary ballot.
Also, a bit of drama in the voting after party officials discovered some delegates got more than one ballot and others didn't get any.
Both men are competing to replace retiring Republican Ben Nighthorse Campbell.
The primary election in Colorado is August 10th.
