Martin blasted into space Wednesday.
The Atlas Five was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Lockheed Martin's plant in Jefferson County produced the rocket.
Atlas Five is a descendent of the Mercury-Atlas booster that
launched John Glenn into orbit in 1962.
The rocket stands 191 feet and packs 860-thousand pounds of
thrust.
The Atlas Five is part of American companies' attempts to
revitalize the nation's launch business.
