Continuing to track rain/snow showers throughout southeast Colorado this morning as wet, gloomy and cool conditions continue. If you are hitting the roads in the higher elevation (Teller/Fremont/Custer/ Monument) make sure you allow a little extra time as some roads may be a little snow covered. Wet pavement remains everywhere else. We'll see rain/snow showers continue for most of our Monday, clearing out before midnight. Head on over to the "Weather" tab for a full look at the week ahead.
A man with a knife hijacked a Greyhound bus Monday afternoon near the Utah and Colorado border.
The man took control of the bus on I-70, right after it left Green River, Utah about 200 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. He ordered all of the passengers off the bus. Then he ordered the driver to continue on for about 60 miles. The driver later slowed down the bus and jumped out.
Investigators say the hijacker then barricaded himself in the bus for about 90 minutes.
Officials say none of the estimated 60 passengers on board are injured.
The hijacking is under investigation, but officials say the suspect wanted to go to Nebraska to see his estranged wife.
The bus originated from Las Vegas and was headed to Grand Junction,
Colorado. Greyhound sent another bus to pick the passengers up.
