Governor Bill Owens has signed two bills that would help members of the armed services cover education costs.
The bills affect members of the military and National Guard who are relocated out of the state.
One bill boosts the amount of available tuition money to $650,000, four times as much as last year. The other bill allows military families transferred out of state to qualify for in-state tuition for up to a year.
One hundred seventy five members of the Colorado National Guard were sent overseas last year. More than 850 were called up to serve.
