Hiker Body Found
While accumulating snow has ended for Colorado Springs and Pueblo, snow (heavy at times) will continue north and northeast of Colorado Springs. A strong north wind will also create areas of blowing and drifting snow along with reduced visibility in these areas A BLIZZARD WARNING remains in effect through tonight for Northern El Paso County northward to the Denver Metro Area. Travel is NOT advised in this area.

Body found near St. Mary's Falls
A hiker in El Paso County found a partially decomposed body this morning west of Colorado Springs.

A hiker in El Paso County found a partially decomposed body this morning west of Colorado Springs.

Sheriff's spokesman Clif Northam says search teams were unable to recover the body when it was initially found near Cheyenne Canyon Road near St. Mary's Falls.

They have been working for hours to recover it.

The body was in steep terrain about seven miles from the trail and parking area.

Northam was hopeful that the body could be recovered before nightfall.

It's unclear how the body got into canyon.
