This was a wonderful man who coached kids in Falcon for football, Mike Patterson. He has a family no insurance and a fund is set up at Farmers State Bank P.O. Box 9 Calhan, co 80808.... He gave all his time to the kids and could not have been a better man. Hard time of year for all but anything is wonderful for their family.

Actually, Hwy 24 goes NE-SW, so take your pick on directions. I would lay odds that it was where all the other fatalities happen, right at the curve by the post office - probably fell asleep and when the road curved, he didn't.

Another news story said it was at 24 and McClelland Rd, which is between Peyton and Calhan. So was he southbound on McClelland? And please update with a name of the victim when available please. Prayers to the family, we have so many accidents on 24, I wish ppl would understand it's not as safe as it looks.

So 24 runs east/west, where does it go south? Also, where on 24?

    Highway 24 doesn't go "southbound". It's an east-west highway...
