The national economy appears to be rebounding and it's bringing Colorado's with it.
The U.S. Department of Labor says more than 288,000 new jobs were added nationwide last month. Of those, 14,500 were in Colorado.
But, the picture isn't quite as rosy as it may look.
Experts say, while more companies are looking to hire, many of the new jobs are entry level, forcing many former executives and the like to take lower level, lower paying jobs just to continue working.
Employers say, with the unemployment rate going down and less people to choose from, it takes longer to find the right person for the job.
The state's unemployment rate is currently 5.1%, down from last year's 6.3% during this same time. In Colorado Springs, 5.4% of people are unemployed and 7% in Pueblo.
Experts say, the increase in available jobs is, in part, due to more companies being built in the state.
And, the increase still doesn't make up for four consecutive months of losses seen towards the end of last year and early this year.
