An accused killer and former Fort Carson Soldier entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2008 death of a 19-year-old Colorado Springs girl.

In September, 21-year-old Specialist Robert Marko withdrew his not guilty plea in the death of "Judi" Lawrence from Colorado Springs. Monday, he entered the insanity plea and will now be sent to the State Mental Hospital for an evaluation.

Lawrence was killed back in October 2008. Her body was found in a wooded area just west of the Broadmoor after a four day search.

It seems he knew what he was doing when he was on the computer setting things up with her. I know it's not easy these days coming back from war but at the same time all to easy to say i am insane also. There are thousands of soldiers coming home with liget injuries and illness. Lets not let one soldier tarnish these others who are returning with stuff most of us will never understand. This guy got caught and now he wants the easy way out. He needs to be put away for life. Lets not waste the tax payers money on something that needs not be done. He done the crime, now it's time to do the time.
