President Obama takes his defense of the economy on the road today and despite limited options due to big budget deficits, he's warming to the possibility of a job-boosting bill.

The president has scheduled appearances today in Pennsylvania to showcase innovative businesses following yesterday's White House jobs forum.

The president is mindful of growing anxiety about federal deficits and says it is primarily up to the private sector to create large numbers of new jobs.

But congressional Democrats are eying up to $70 billion in unspent financial bailout money to use for infrastructure projects and saving public employee jobs.

November's unemployment figures are due out this morning and the jobs picture is expected to remain bleak.

They should form a council fast and not just council of a few select industries but every private sector economic and business base Let the business people come up with a proposal. And let it not be on the tax payers back. They need to stop meddling, interfereing and dictating free market, businesses and capital. Only through the efforts of the private sector will the economy improve and jobs be created but the meddling and passing of bills and laws that deter businesses from investing, that is a real fear factor. we have seen a major drop in foreign capital and foreign investment in the country since the start of the year and also a significant drop in the purchase of US Treasuries by foreign govs and capital. Why? they know the answer. They can fix the problems in a very simple and effective way. STOP THE BAILOUTS ! for a start ... The country now faces "UNPRECEDENTED" debt and deficit. The gov should already know this you cant create more debt to solve a financial problem
