Phone Software To Keep DUI Drivers Off the Road

It seems there's an iphone "app" for everything these days. Now the Colorado Department of Transportation is using one to make the roads safer.

It's created an application aimed at drunk drivers.

The new app calculates your blood alcohol concentration, based on age, sex, and how many drinks you've had over how long.

So if you are out with friends, having a couple of drinks, you can determine if you are over the limit to drive your car.

The application even has the number to local taxi cabs in case you find that you are too buzzed to drive.

According to CDOT's Stacey Stegman, "We can't have much alcohol before considered impaired and i don't think people realize what those limits are."

Stegman says CDOT hopes the application will be used by everyone when they go out for drinks, and they believe it could save a life.
