A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. The break-ins in Evergreen and Castle Rock came just a week
apart. Jefferson County sheriff's spokesman Jim Shires says in such
situations identity theft is always a concern. He says what makes
authorities especially concerned is the grand scale of the thefts.
State officials say they are working on changes in the system
that would minimize future problems.
