Qwest Communications has begun opening retail kiosks in shopping malls as part of its efforts to improve customer service.
Qwest has already opened 12 stores in shopping malls in Colorado, Arizona and Nebraska. The company plans to have about 50 kiosks in its 14-state region by the end of June.
At the kiosks, customers can try out high-speed Internet service, buy wireless phone chargers and pay phone bills.
Each store employs about five people.
