(Denver-AP) -- Qwest Communications says it believes the focus
of investigations by the U-S attorney's office and the Securities
and Exchange commission are similar.
In an announcement today the company said the U-S attorney's
office in Denver has asked Qwest to make presentations similar to
those the company made to the regional office of the S-E-C.
Qwest disclosed both investigations previously.
The S-E-C is investigating the way the financially ailing
company accounted for one-point-one (B) billion dollars in revenue
over several years.
The U-S attorney's investigation was disclosed in July but
neither Qwest nor the investigators have disclosed the subject.
