Wanted: Olympic Board Members

The U.S. Olympic Committee is no longer taking applications. It received more than 100 resumes for four openings on the new board of directors.

The directors would join three American International Olympic Committee members and four others nominated by athletes and sports organizations.

Plans for a new board started last year after conflict-of-interest charges against former chief executive Lloyd Ward set off months of turmoil that clouded the USOC's future.

A nominating committee will interview finalists in the coming weeks. The group hopes to have the new board in place by early summer in time for the Olympic Games in August.
