Officers from the Falcon Division in Colorado Springs were dispatched to a 911 call in the area of 6100 Poncha Court.
Upon arrival, officers found that several suspects had produced two explosive devices, commonly known as dry ice bombs.
One device had already functioned, and one was still intact in the middle of the cul-de-sac. Patrol officers established a perimeter and apprehended numerous suspects.
Bomb Technicians Arseneau and Carter from the Regional Explosive Unit responded to render safe the intact device.
A remote render safe procedure was attempted, and the device exploded. There were no injuries or property damage because of the techniques utilized by the bomb technicians and the initial actions taken by patrol.
The suspects were all cited and released on misdemeanor summonses.
The suspects are Alec Magill, age 18; Andrew Horton, age 19; Danielle Kunkleman, age 18; Michael Novile, age 19; Taylor Hix, age 18 and Frederick Waddle, age 18.

I can't beleive they make such a big deal about these. My friends and I made many dry ice bombs as kids. A plasic bottle that goes bang. Punching a plactic bag filled with air can go bang too. Is that a bomb?
