(Air Force Academy-AP) -- The Air Force inspector general is probing the academy's honor system after a senior cadet found guilty of lying said she was wrongly convicted.
Depending on what officials find, a full-blown investigation could follow.
It is the third Inspector General probe at the Air Force Academy. One is examining an allegedly racy skit performed by cadets, and another is looking into sexual harassment issues.
The latest inquiry will look into the cadet-run honor system after two studies found problems. In the second study, 60 percent of cadets surveyed disagreed with parts of the system and said honor was not as important to cadets as it should be.
It was prompted by the case of Andrea Prasse, who was found guilty by an honor board eight days before she was to graduate. She and her family are fighting the verdict.
