Just in time for the Thanksgiving feast, many came out to get a box full of food at a great cost.

Angel Food Ministries opened its doors Saturday to help families put food on the table for the holiday season. A box of groceries was sold to anyone at cost giving them a savings of 50%. Eggs, vegetables, milk, corn flakes and many more items were stuffed in the box for people to buy.

The group's goal is to do more than just help those in need of food every month. "Well, I believe it helps the other organizations as well as this one because we all work together," says Don Hockett with Angel Food Ministries.

If you want more information on how to get a box of food at cost you can call The Redeemed Christian Church of God at (719) 290-4092.

I just wanted to say that we also handed out angel food today at Christ church on Executive circle...I just want people to know this isn't just on the holidays...it's all year round. Jut google angel food ministries and it will take you to the web site where you can find the monthly menu and distribution sites....30 dollars for a box that lasts a family of four for a week. God bless.
