An arrest has been made in Great Britain, in a 12-year-old murder case out of Garfield County. Marcus Bebb-Jones, age 46, was arrested at his family's home in Kidderminster, England.

Bebb-Jones will face criminal charges in the murder of his wife, Sabrina Bebb-Jones. His arrest warrant lists charges of Murder in the First Degree, Concealing Death, and Domestic Violence.

The suspect is a renowned professional poker player.

According to British newspapers, Bebb-Jones' professional poker career highlight has been a win at the Grosvenor Grand Prix victory in 2007, which netted him roughly $180,000.

Several law enforcement agencies, including the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, were a part of the investigation.

Bebb-Jones' wife allegedly went missing in 1997; a skull purported to be hers was discovered in 2004 in Garfield County.

According to court documents filed in Great Britain, “On the weekend following that incident it is said Mr Bebb-Jones went to Las Vegas and spent thousands of dollars – partially using credit cards in his wife’s name.”

“He lived a playboy lifestyle in the course of that weekend which culminated in him putting a gun in his mouth and shooting himself in the head. Whether by judgement or design he didn’t cause any life-threatening injuries to himself.”

According to the now-defunct Rocky Mountain News, Bebb-Jones and her husband, Marcus, owned the Hotel Melrose in Grand Junction.

Mr. Bebb-Jones remains in custody in Great Britain and now will enter into the extradition process.

Garfield County officials are planning to release more details. They'll be posted here on KKTV.com when they become available.
