An H1N1 clinic took place in Fountain Thursday, but a surprising number of people showed up to get the vaccine. Clinic workers started the day with 1,400 vaccines and at the end of their day, there were still plenty left.

We've seen long lines and thousands of people at previous H1N1 clinics in Southern Colorado, but at Thursday's clinic in Fountain, only 1,100 vaccines were administered of the 1,400 vaccines available.

The leftover vaccines will be re-distributed throughout El Paso County and saved for future H1N1 clinics.

Vaccines were provided free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remember, you had to be part of the "high risk" group in order to be given a vaccine.

· Pregnant women

· Household contacts and caretakers of children under 6 months of age;

· All people 6 months through 24 years of age;

· All health care workers;

· Adults 25 years to 64 years of age with underlying health risk conditions.
