It happened in the 700 block of Cima Vista Point. That is in the southeast part of Colorado Springs. Firefighters got the call around 4 a.m. Fire officials say the fire started in the kitchen where the father was cooking. The mother got the three kids out of the house after the fire alarm went off.
It took about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.
Firefighters tell us one person had minor injuries, but was treated and released.
KKTV 11 News is told the house is unlivable, so the family is staying with family in Colorado Springs. The fire remains under investigation.
