Prison Inmates Moved

Thirty-six Colorado prison inmates have been transferred to Texas after a series of incidents officials say were gang-related.

Joe Ortiz, director of the Colorado Department of Corrections, said the prisoners were involved in six incidents during the past three months at three different facilities.

He said the 36 inmates had been temporarily moved to the Park County jail before being sent by bus to Texas, where they arrived Monday morning. They will be held at the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center, which is designed for such offenders.
