Senator Mark Udall says the shootings at Fort Hood in Texas underscore that more needs to be done to help "troops who find themselves at the breaking point."

The Colorado Democrat was briefed by Army officials on Friday along with other members of the Senate Armed Services Committee. He said in an interview that it's too early to draw conclusions about the motive for the attack.

He said he wants to know, as the government's investigation proceeds, if there are parallels between the Fort Hood shootings and instances of violence at Fort Carson in Colorado and Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Udall also urged the public not to blame Muslims just because the suspect in the shootings is a Muslim. He noted that thousands of Muslims serve in the U.S. military.

He was a terrorist waiting to strike and guess what, he struck!

Look, this guy had been showing and telling everone publicly who he was for years! He didn't break! The motive is obvious. He hired a lawyer to get out of the military. He took all he could from the U.S. and never believed his oath to protect the U.S! WHEN ARE WE AMERICANS GOING TO WAKE UP??? During both a Republican and Democratic presidency this guy was spouting off his beliefs to EVERYONE around him while he was an OFFICER in the U.S. MILITARY! Why was he allowed to stay in the military? Because everyone wants to be "politically correct." We've had that pushed for so long, don't hurt anyone's feelings, he has a right to his opinion, we are taught to ignore red flags! It's time "politically correct" is recognized for what it is is...wrong. If someone says all he did openly (let alone feeling that but hiding it), let's believe him and treat him like the terrorists he admires; he is just waiting for HIS chosen time to strike! This is about political views! Wake up America! Listen!
