Police in Orlando say a gunman has been apprehended after killing one person and injuring five others at a downtown office building where he was let go two years ago.

Police Chief Val Demings says 40-year-old Jason Rodriguez surrendered to police at his mother's home after officers saw him through a window and asked him to come out.

She confirms that one person was killed in the shooting at the Legion Place office building downtown. Five others were hurt.

To A. He wasn't let go from prison, he was let go from his place of employment which is where the shootings occurred.

Why was he let go 2 years ago? That's what happens when you let criminals go free. They'll do it again. The problem here is that we have very mild punishments. If we were to put criminals on the electric chair for example then we'll have less crime. But instead we just let them go free which is a "great" example for other criminals too. Let the criminals go free and kill more people since we want to encourage crime don't we? Stupid judges...

Wow, I used to live down the street from where they caught him. It must have been behind Albertsons.
