Kids of all ages descended upon Palmer Park for the 1st Annual 11 News and My 99.9 Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday morning. Their eyes set on the brightly-colored prizes, neither snow nor freezing temperatures kept thousands of egg hunters from showing up.
The Easter Bunny and Sky Sox Fox, made special appearances, and likely stayed the warmest. Also in attendance, sans costume, the 11 News Team and My 99.9 DJs. After two Easter egg hunts for the kids, the adults lined up for their hunt. Prizes included candy, gift certificates and the grand prize-- a trip for two to Cancun, Mexico. Matilda Camacho found that coveted egg.
"I came out here with my family hoping to maybe win a CD," said Camacho. "I can't believe I won the trip to Cancun! It was totally worth coming out here in the cold, we had a lot of fun."
The 11 News and My 99.9 Easter Egg Hunt will return next year, bigger, better, and hopefully in warmer weather.
