Kay I just read that she is showing signs of improvement and her doctor is optimistic that she might turn a corner. Here is the link to where I read this. It has a short little section about her. http://www.gazette.com/articles/health-66082-vaccine-department.html

At this time, I do not know Kayla's condition. I have placed calls to the family and I am awaiting a response. Another family member a 7 year old girl has been hospitalized with a 105 temperature. Please pray for this family. I will update if I can, as soon as possible.

I would like to hear an update on Kayla's condition? The news has not reported anything and there are rumors she has died. Is this true?

Have the ICU staff contact the CDC and get her on Peramivir injectable anti-viral. They should be draining the fluids around her lungs or she will continue to have heart and kidney failure. There is no time to waste. I tried to call the ICU at Penrose-St. Francis Hospital to give them the link to my daughter recovery blog but I guess they thought it was a prank caller. When your lungs fail (ARDS) most hospitals are overwhelmed and out of their league in some cases. This is so scary. My heart goes out to this young lady and too all the other victims of the H1N1 virus. I am deathly afraid of catching this virus but I have a young school aged child who could very well catch this virus and bring it home. To Kayla's family, my heart and prayers are with you.
