A rocket launch test Wednesday morning at the Air Force Academy did not go as planned.

The Falcon-Launch 6 Rocket exploded right as it went off.

The rocket was made by the class of 2009 and its purpose was to validate a new data acquisition system and its performance. The cadets this year will now analyze and compare tests against simulations.
