From 1988 to 2000 Rosa and Robert Bruce were married and living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From 1991 to 2000 the "Ether Man" serial rapist struck 11 times in Albuquerque.

In 2000, Rosa decided to leave Bruce because she says, she had a feeling something just wasn't right. She took the children and moved to Pueblo to be near family. She says Bruce followed her to Pueblo to be near his kids. Since 2000, the trail of the "Ether Man" had gone cold in Albuquerque. That is until last month when a DNA test matched Bruce's DNA with that of the "Ether Man."

Like many of us, Bruce played the role of loving father for years. "He was a good dad," says Rosa. She says, he really tried to pay his child support when he could. He even attended his kids school activities to show them support. But police say Bruce has a dark side, one that involved stalking and raping women.

"We had a case in July of 2006, all the circumstances, the M.O. matches with what Albuquerque has," says Sergeant Eric Bravo with the Pueblo Police Department. Bravo says, in the 2006 case the rapist broke into the woman's home and used a chemical soaked rag to knock her out, then he raped her. The woman's physical appearance is also similar to several other rapes credited to the "Ether Man" in New Mexico and Texas. She also lived near a college, something else the "Ether Man" rapes had in common. But there is at least one inconsistency, the victim was not tied to the medical field. In other "Ether Man" rapes most of the victims were in some way connected to the medical field. One was a X-ray technician, another a medical student, and a third was a receptionist at a doctor's office.

Pueblo Police are investigating whether or not the DNA evidence from the 2006 case is a match to Bruce. Meanwhile, police in Fort Collins are looking at two rape cases in their community that are also similar to "Ether Man" rapes. Colorado Springs and Denver departments are currently going back through their rape cases to see if any match up as well.
