Jurors deliberated about five hours yesterday before going home
without a verdict. They resumed deliberations this morning, and
announced about 2:10 Friday afternoon that they had reached a
Blagg was found guilty of killing his wife in November 2001 to
escape a troubled marriage. The couple's six-year-old daughter is
missing and considered dead.
Defense attorney David Eisner told jurors during closing
arguments yesterday that the prosecution's case was a shifting sand
castle with a crumbling foundation.
The defense claimed an intruder killed Blagg's wife.
