Analysts say EchoStar Communications and Turner Broadcasting have until the end of the month to reach a new contract agreement.
If the two companies don't reach an agreement or extension of the deadline by then, EchoStar's DISH Network satellite-TV customers could lose some Turner channels.
Those channels include CNN and Cartoon Network.
The industry is watching the negotiations closely because EchoStar pulled several Viacom networks for two days last month when those negotiations passed a deadline.
The networks included CBS and MTV.
EchoStar chief executive Charlie Ergen says the company hasn't been offered a reasonable deal from Turner.
EchoStar is based in Douglas County.
